There’s nothing that screams ‘date night’ quite like a little red dress and Rachel wore them like a pro. It was, of course, a variation on the classic slip dress, but packed a slightly harder punch. Our first glance of Rachel happens when she runs into the gang's favorite hang out, the Central Perk coffee shop after she calls off her wedding to Barry, the dentist. While wedding dresses are beautiful and exciting, Rachel's dress just screams "1994!" with its huge hat style veil and the big bow in the back. For those of us who thought of ourselves to be fashion mavens, we loved to tune into Friends to see what Monica and Rachel had in their closets week after week. It's an easy style to wear all year long, with sweaters or as a stand-alone piece for summertime.
Green is definitely one of Rachel's colors, and it's a funny coincidence that that also happens to be her last name. The slip dress ruled the '90s and are still reigning supreme decades later. In "The One With The Tiny T-Shirt," Rachel wore one of these very, very dated looks. You may remember her all blue maxi skirt suit with the matching jacket? She wore it in the scene when she gave Ross his stuff back after their break up.
This maxi mint green gown with the side slit is something we'd happily wear to an event today. With its thick spaghetti straps, it's slender silhouette, and its soft, pastel color, there's nothing not to love about this gown. While dark black tights may not be the height of fashion anymore, with this little black dress, they totally work.

Clearly, Rachel was ahead of her time, rockin' the sporty look for a game of touch football, all while maintaining a style that's both comfortable and cute. Monica wowed her friends on the night that was supposed to be her engagement. Of course they run into Monica's ex, Richard, and the proposal doesn't happen. Chandler almost loses Monica to Richard, but in the end, Monica proposes to Chandler.
